Day-by-Day Program
MARRAKECH TO OURIKA VALLEY DAY TRIP ITINERARY
As the journey begins from Marrakech toward the Ourika Valley waterfalls, you’ll enjoy views of lush green hills, winding rivers, and traditional Berber villages scattered across the landscape. The valley offers many opportunities to take beautiful photos of the natural scenery along the way.
There will be stops in some of the local Berber villages, giving you a chance to experience daily life in the mountains. As the drive continues deeper into the valley, the scenery becomes more dramatic as you approach the Atlas Mountains and the village of Setti Fatma. Several waterfalls can be seen in this area, some quieter and less crowded than others.
A short hike is planned to reach some of the Setti Fatma waterfalls, so comfortable walking or hiking shoes are recommended. Bringing swimwear and sunscreen is also a good idea, as you may have the chance to cool off in natural pools at the base of the falls.
Since the trail passes close to the waterfalls, a change of clothes can be useful due to the water spray. It’s also recommended to bring a light jacket, as temperatures can be cooler in the higher parts of Setti Fatma, even during the summer months.
You may bring a packed lunch, though cafés and small restaurants are available in some villages along the route. Don’t forget your camera, as the landscapes and waterfalls offer unforgettable photo opportunities. After the hike, the return journey follows the same route back to Marrakech, with arrival around 5:00 p.m.
